The head of the Ministry of Health got acquainted with the work of the CDCThe Minister of Health visited Almaty on a working trip, where she got acquainted with the activities of the Kazakh Scientific Center for Dermatology and Infectious Diseases.Within the framework of the visit, Akmaral Alnazarova met with the staff of the KNCDIZ. She got acquainted with the implementation of programs for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection, viral hepatitis, dermatovenerological diseases, as well as with active scientific, practical and educational activities.During the meeting, measures were discussed to expand the availability of specialized medical care, digitalize clinical processes and strengthen the human resources potential of the industry. The Minister stressed the importance of systematic training of medical specialists and the introduction of modern approaches in the organization of public assistance.

Prevention of HIV infection among young peopleIn April 2025, doctors of the Department of preventive work of the AIDS Center of the Almaty region, together with the Department of Education of the Almaty region and doctors of the Konayev city hospital, a multidisciplinary central district hospital of the Yenbekshikazakh district, held several round tables. Round tables are organized for biology teachers, school principals and deputies for educational work, school nurses. The main purpose of the event is the prevention of HIV infection, the formation of responsible behavior among young people and drawing attention to the problems of people living with HIV, preventing discrimination, eliminating factors that affect the vulnerability of people living with HIV and hinder access to medical services.

Noticeable and important: the role of outdoor advertising in HIV prevention in KostanayOutdoor advertising is one of the effective tools for raising public awareness of HIV issues. In Kostanay, as in other cities of the country, the akimat and local health institutions actively use this method to inform citizens about the importance of HIV prevention. Thus, with the support of the Akimat of Kostanay region and the preventive activities of the AIDS Center, 15 billboards were produced and placed in the region in 2025, whose information activities are aimed at preventing HIV infection.
