the East Kazakhstan Regional AIDS Center summarized the results of 2024.According to the institution, the HIV situation in the region shows a trend toward stabilization. In 2024, 326 new cases of HIV transmission were registered, which is 40 fewer than in 2023. The incidence rate was 43.9 per 100,000 population, compared to 49 in the previous year. The overall HIV prevalence in the region was 473.8 per 100,000 population.
