On the 95th anniversary of the dermatovenerological service of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Turkestan region In Southern Kazakhstan, the dermatovenerological service was formed in the distant and difficult year of 1926, when famine and devastation raged on the outskirts of the young Soviet state, and the local population was almost illiterate. Epidemics and outbreaks of infections followed one another. Urgent measures were needed to eliminate the foci of infectious diseases. The Grand Presidium of the region decided to open a venereal department at the Shymkent city hospital and instructed the regional health department to prepare cost estimates for the identification of venereal patients in schools and boarding schools for their isolation and treatment. A few years later, a skin and venereological dispensary was established on the basis of the new department.

Informal HIV education in AstanaWithin the framework of the Roadmap «On the implementation of measures to prevent HIV infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2026», approved by Order No. 155 of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 16, 2023, seminars on informal training of medical workers on the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV were held at the Astana HIV Prevention Center., on the introduction of people living with HIV with concomitant and HIV-associated diseases, as well as on stigma, discrimination against people living with HIV and key population groups.

Large-scale campaign "Let's stay healthy"On March 24, 2025, a joint large-scale action was held at the Kostanay Engineering and Economics University named after M. Dulatov within the framework of the month dedicated to World Tuberculosis Day, in which three key services took part: the Regional Center for Phthisiopulmonology, the Regional Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS and the Youth Health Center "JASTAR.MED".
