Students of the Higher Medical College of Almaty took part in a seminar dedicated to HIV prevention.

The event was held as part of an awareness campaign for World AIDS Day. Experienced doctors from the Almaty Center for AIDS Prevention and Control addressed the participants. The speakers discussed modern methods of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of HIV, and emphasized the importance of early detection of the infection.

Special attention during the seminar was given to safe behavior, health protection, and preventing the spread of the virus. Future medical professionals were reminded of the important role healthcare workers play in educating the public and reducing the stigma faced by people living with HIV.

During the meeting, students actively participated in discussions, asked questions, and shared their thoughts on how modern doctors can contribute to building a healthy society. Real patient stories were also presented, helping participants gain a deeper understanding of the emotional and social aspects of the issue.

Such seminars help students not only acquire valuable knowledge but also develop a responsible attitude toward public health matters.
