On February 26 - March 1, a meeting was held in Manila with the participation of a delegation from Kazakhstan to develop a work plan for 2025-2026 within the framework of the US President's Emergency Plan to Combat HIV/AIDS (PEPFAR). 

 

 The forum was attended by delegations from 12 countries of the Asian region. The delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan was represented by specialists of the Kazakh Scientific Center of Dermatology and Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, non-governmental and international organizations. 

During the discussions, participants developed the main activities for the next two years, which were coordinated with CNDDIS, NGOs, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and UNAIDS. 

PEPFAR Program Ambassador Dr. John N. Nkengasong highly appreciated the successes and achievements of Kazakhstan in the implementation of the HIV response program, and expressed appreciation for the close cooperation of the public sector, communities and international organizations in improving prevention and treatment. He presented Dr. B. Baiserkin, Director of the KNCDIZ, with an award for high coverage of research on viral load in Kazakhstan.
