April 12, 2024

More than 200 participants gathered in Almaty on April 11-12 for the traditional International Scientific and practical conference within the framework of the Science Day "V dermatological readings named after Zh.A. Orazymbetova".

The organizer of the event is the RSE at the PHW "Kazakh Scientific Center of Dermatology and Infectious Diseases" of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan in partnership with the NGO "Society of Dermatovenerologists, Dermatocosmetologists and Leprologists", the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, the Department of Dermatovenerology of the Kazakh–Russian Medical University.

Dermatological readings are traditionally held to create a permanent platform for scientific communication, building interdisciplinary interactions, sharing best practices and implementing it in the provision of medical care in the field of dermatovenerology, dermatocosmetology and related specialties.

This annual event is held in memory of the teacher, scientist, professor, famous dermatovenerologist Zhumagul Abishevna Orazymbetova. She has educated a galaxy of scientists, clinicians of the dermatovenerological service of the country.

The topics of scientific discussions and presentations are expanding in scope every year and cover a wide variety of areas of dermatovenerology, dermatocosmetology and leprology. At the current readings, they discussed not only the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, but also the expansion of the boundaries of genetic engineering therapy, and the introduction of artificial intelligence. The latter has already been successfully used in the world of dermatology. According to scientists, KNCDIZ AI can process data faster and shorten the diagnostic path, which will facilitate the possibility of starting treatment earlier and increase its effectiveness.

Among the participants of the conference are scientists and doctors from Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, South Korea, Libya, Oman, Russia, the USA, and France. Professor Marius-Anton Lonechi from Paris will share his experience in applying corneology to the peculiarities of the skin microbiome. Dermatocosmetologists from Oman and the USA spoke about innovations in practical cosmetology, and from South Korea – about the features of screening in women.  Gennady Novik, Professor, Chief Allergologist, Immunologist of the Northwestern Federal District of the Ministry of Health of Russia, presented useful experience in the treatment of atopic dermatitis during an exacerbation in the spring and summer period.

The topic of diagnosis and treatment of atopic dermatitis turned out to be one of the most discussed at the international conference. It was raised by scientists from the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia and, of course, Kazakhstan. Experts note that in the world today about 4 percent of people face this disease. The disease has a negative impact on the quality of life of patients. However, the specialists of KNCDIZ are convinced that against the background of early initiation of therapy with new drugs, it becomes possible to achieve complete or almost complete cleansing of the skin.

The competition of young specialists and poster presentations demonstrated the high level of training of resident doctors and the creative approach of all participants. 9 competitive works and 22 poster presentations from young specialists were presented. The authors of the best works were awarded valuable prizes.
