Training seminar for nurses and outreach workers

On April 25, 2024, a training seminar was held for nurses at the trust point, friendly offices and outreach workers on the topic:“Preventive work among key population groups for the 1st quarter of 2024.

The scope of application of the Law of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 137/2020 “On approval of the principles of carrying out activities to prevent HIV infection” was discussed at the seminar. The main problems of vulnerable groups of the population were touched upon, difficulties in working with these groups were discussed, and the center's psychologist G. Kabdola spoke about the importance of proper socio-psychological counseling and shared his knowledge.

Also, specialists from the preventive work department of the Almaty Region AIDS Center focused on the problems of working with key population groups, and also analyzed the preventive work carried out in the 1st quarter of 2024 in comparison with the 1st quarter of 2023. Errors and difficulties in filling out the individual client accounting database were discussed. It was instructed to control the distribution of handouts in accordance with the 2nd Appendix of Law No. 137/2020 “On approval of the principles of carrying out activities for the prevention of HIV infection.” The role and importance of outreach workers in working with key population groups was noted, and a memo was distributed to outreach workers.
