Meeting with the head of the UNFPA sub-regional office

Baiserkin, Director of the CDC, and T. Davletgalieva, National HIV Coordinator of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, held a working meeting with Mr. Sergio Esperanza, the new head of the UNFPA sub-regional office in Almaty, on April 18.

CNDDIZ and UNFPA are long-standing business partners with several successfully implemented projects. Effective cooperation has been going on for many years.

At today's meeting, the parties discussed the HIV situation in Kazakhstan, the experience of working together, and outlined guidelines for cooperation.

Mr. Sergio Esperanza has extensive experience in the field of HIV in the past, which will undoubtedly be useful in Kazakhstan.
