In Almaty, leading experts will discuss innovations in the field of HIV

On December 2, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "HIV: yesterday, today, tomorrow" will be held in Almaty. It will be held as part of an information campaign dedicated to World AIDS Day on December 1 under the motto "From challenges to transformations in the response to HIV."

The organizers of the conference are the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Scientific Center of Dermatology and Infectious Diseases (KSCDIZ), the Public Association "Society of Dermatovenerologists, Dermatocosmetologists and Leprologists". This event will be an important step towards improving modern approaches to the prevention of HIV and dermatovenereological diseases.
The conference will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health, government and non-governmental organizations, international organizations - WHO, UNAIDS, CDC, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Among the speakers of the conference:
- Roza Kuanyshbekova, MD, Professor, Director of the RSE at the PCV "KNTSDIZ" of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Stela Bivol, Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases, WHO, Denmark;
- Emonn Murphy, UNAIDS Regional Director for the Asia Pacific and Eastern Europe and Central Asia region;
- Tsovinar Sakinyan, Portfolio Manager for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
The conference is intended to become a fruitful platform for the exchange of experience and best practices in the field of HIV infection and dermatovenereological diseases prevention.
