Experts went to the village

On May 2, 2024 years, epidemiologists and infectious disease specialists from the Almaty Regional AIDS Center made a monitoring visit to the rural hospital in the village. Panfilov, Talgarsky district.

Specialists provided organizational and methodological assistance in the correct collection of biomaterials for the laboratory and paperwork.

Following the monitoring meeting, a seminar was held for medical personnel. At the seminar, epidemiologist A. Akhmetbekov spoke about the prevention of HIV infection and other blood-borne infections. Also shared safe practices for injections and other infusion procedures.

And infectious disease doctor G. Osmanova spoke in full about the clinic and treatment of HIV infection and presented clinical protocol No. 180 dated January 26, 2022. It clearly showed the achievements of the Almaty region according to three 95-95-95, which is recommended by the World Health Organization. The susceptibility of people living with HIV to ART and the conditions for providing them with medical care are explained in detail.

“Every medical specialist should be able to provide medical care to people living with HIV, know the routes of transmission and methods of protection against infection and popularize them,” said infectious disease doctor G. Osmanova.

At the end of the training, participants completed the task in a playful manner and topical issues were discussed.
