A seminar on improving the knowledge of medical workers in the Mangystau region.

On February 23- 24, a two-day regional seminar on the topic "Prevention, treatment and diagnosis of HIV infection, stigma and discrimination" was held in Aktau.

The regional seminar was held in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 16, 2023 No.155 "On the implementation of measures for the prevention of HIV infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2026" of the Department of Organization of Medical Care of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the action plan of the State Unitary Enterprise for PCV "Mangystau Regional HIV Prevention Center" (hereinafter -HIV-center) for 2024.

The purpose of the meeting is to increase the theoretical knowledge of doctors responsible for HIV infection and further strengthen measures to combat HIV infection in the region.

The seminar of the second day was opened by the deputy head of the health department of the Mangystau region, Bibizada Duisenbayeva. In the future, he called for joint and high-quality work.

On the first day of the seminar, 54 medical workers from state medical and wellness institutions of the region took part, on the second day - 69 medical workers from private medical centers.
