The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Budget Fund discussed the implementation of grants for HIV and tuberculosis components

On November 23, Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Chairman of the Country Coordinating Committee for Work with International Organizations on HIV Infection and Tuberculosis Vyacheslav Dudnik met with representatives of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria T.Vinichenko and D. Kokiashvili.

The meeting was also attended by the heads of republican research centers, structural divisions of the Ministry of Health, as well as the Secretariat of the CCM in Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the Vice Minister, Chairman of the CCM expressed gratitude to the Global Fund for long-term fruitful cooperation in supporting HIV and tuberculosis programs.
- Medical care for people living with HIV is provided by a network of primary health care and 20 HIV prevention centers. It is planned to include indicators of HIV infection and tuberculosis programs in Memoranda of Understanding between local executive bodies and the Mandatory Medical Insurance Fund," V. Dudnik noted.

Tatiana Vinichenko thanked for the meeting and noted that over the years the Global Fund has managed to achieve significant results in cooperation with the Government and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which can serve as an example for other countries.

At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of a new grant agreement for 2024-2026 and assured each other of further joint work.
