On September 21, 2023, a meeting was held between KSCDIH staff headed by director Baiserkin Bauyrzhan Satzhanovich, heads of regional HIV prevention centers with representatives of leading foreign and Kazakh universities: Professor Robert Hamer from Yale University (USA), Associate Professor Syed Ali from Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan), Professor Jack DeHovitz from SUNY Downstate University of Health Sciences (USA). During the meeting, a new research project, MoVE-Kaz, was presented and discussed, which will provide new in-depth data on the epidemiology of HIV in Kazakhstan.
