Round table with specialists from blood offices

On August 18, 2023, in the Almaty Regional Blood Center, AOC AIDS specialists organized a round table for specialists from blood offices of regional medical institutions.

Deputy Director of the AIDS Center G. Zhakanova and Director of the Regional Blood Center T. Rakhmanov opened the event with an introductory speech and gave information about the topic of the meeting.

Epidemiologist of the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance of the AIDS Center A. Akhmetbekov spoke about the preparation, processing, quality control, storage and distribution of blood and its components for analysis in Almaty regional medical institutions.

Then the doctor of the laboratory department B. Kurmanbaev considered the main mistakes in the collection of biomaterial for research in the preanalytical period and in the laboratories of the AIDS service.

The procedure for organizing and conducting immunohematological blood tests of recipients in medical organizations in preparation for transfusion was explained in detail by the laboratory assistant of the Regional Blood Center N.Karabasova.

The events were attended by 22 specialists.
