Working visit to Turkestan

In order to provide organizational and methodological assistance, the Center for the prevention and control of AIDS in the Turkestan region was visited on January 12 by the deputy director of the KNCDIZ A. Abishev on a working visit. 

1. Abishev held a working meeting with the management of the institution, where topical issues of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection were discussed.

During the visit, A. Abishev got acquainted with the organization and conduct of epidemiological surveillance, anti-epidemic measures, laboratory diagnostics of HIV and AIDS-associated diseases.

Special attention is paid to monitoring HIV treatment and ongoing research, as well as medical care for people living with HIV, and post-exposure antiretroviral prophylaxis.
