Visiting Academy in Atyrau

The visiting scientific and practical Academy within the framework of the World AIDS Day was held on December 7-9 in Atyrau.

Dermatovenerologists KNCDIZ Sania Ospanova and Aigerim Idrisova came to the region to provide practical assistance to colleagues. The theme of the visiting academy is "Topical issues of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs)".

The doctors conducted an outpatient appointment of patients, both adults and children, in Atyrau city and a clinical bypass in the inpatient department of the regional skin and venereological dispensary.

The doctors of the KNCDIZ told their colleagues about the current state of HIV infection in the world and the country, pre-contact prevention, antiretroviral therapy, and the current situation with STIs.  The discussion of the latter topic was moderated by the residents of the second year of study of the KNCDIZ - A. Arsenaly and E. Vashchurina.
