Meeting with PHC

On November 10, 2023, a seminar-meeting was held at the Center for HIV Prevention in Astana under the leadership of the Public Health Department as part of the implementation of the Roadmap for the Prevention of HIV Infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2026 for PHC organizations. The organizers and participants of the meeting discussed the tasks and results of the implementation of measures to prevent HIV transmission in the provision of medical care at the outpatient level.

The seminar meeting was attended by deputy directors of PHC and responsible doctors for HIV infection.

The meeting also heard data on the analysis of HIV testing in primary health care according to clinical indications, monitoring of the timeliness and completeness of coverage of HIV screening of blood recipients, preanalytical aspects of laboratory diagnostics, the basics of HIV testing by express method.

Following the results of the seminar-meeting, proposals and solutions were developed aimed at improving the work of PHC in HIV issues.
