Seminar for students of the Polytechnic College of Progress

On November 9, 2023, epidemiologists of the department of preventive work of the AOC AIDS N. Kasymov and I. Sagyngeldi held a seminar on the topic “Prevention of HIV infection” for students of the “Polytechnic College of Progress” in the Ili region.

Specialists from the AIDS Center told schoolchildren about HIV prevention, including the ways of transmission of the immunodeficiency virus, how to protect yourself from infection, as well as what misconceptions exist about HIV.

Doctors from the Healthy Lifestyle office of the Ili district T. Sikimbaeva and therapist from the clinic A. Mukhaeva raised the topic of stigma and discrimination.

At the seminar, epidemiologists read a presentation and showed videos and offered to solve situational problems.

62 students took part in the event and 150 information and educational materials and 4 posters were distributed
