An online meeting on HIV infection in the education system was held in Kokshetau

On November 1, 2023, a meeting on topical issues of HIV prevention in the education system was held in an online format.

It was attended by deputy directors of colleges for educational work, heads of methodological associations, methodologists of the departments of education of the region.

The meeting was opened by Sabira Ashimova, head of the organizational and methodological department of the Akmola Regional Center for HIV Prevention, who made a welcoming speech and outlined the agenda of the event.

"On the eve of the World AIDS Day, we want to draw the attention of the pedagogical community to the issues of HIV prevention, discuss a plan of joint actions and events dedicated to this date," Sabira Asenovna shared. 

The next speaker on the program of the event was Aigul Magavina, chief specialist of the Department of Guardianship and Guardianship and Educational work of the Department of Education of the Akmola region. She spoke about health-saving technologies, including cultural and leisure, sports events, informational meetings on sex education, drug addiction prevention, including HIV infection, held in the education system.

The event was continued by Nurlybek Konuspayev, a specialist of the prevention department of the center, who informed the participants of the meeting about the epidemiological situation, and also presented an informational presentation on HIV infection and recommendations for activating disease prevention activities in the education system.

The event ended with a question-and-answer session.
