III Educational Academy of Multidisciplinary Dermatovenerology

On October 26-27, the III Educational Academy of Multidisciplinary Dermatovenerology with international participation was held in Almaty on the eve of World Psoriasis Day.

The event was organized by the Kazakh Scientific Center of Dermatology and Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan in partnership with the Kazakh National Medical University named after S. D. Asfendiyarov and the NGO "Society of Dermatovenerologists, Dermatocosmetologists and Leprologists".

The Educational Academy of Multidisciplinary Dermatovenerology is an effective platform where scientists and doctors gather to discuss the most pressing problems related to the search for ways and opportunities for the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases.

This year, not only Kazakhstanis, but representatives of the industry from the Kyrgyz Republic and Russia attended the site. A. Krylov, a dermatonocologist, researcher at the Center for Laser Medicine of Pavlov St. Petersburg State Medical University, shared an interesting experience on the peculiarities of managing acne patients using light technologies. S. Romanov – Candidate of Biological Sciences, scientific consultant from Moscow presented modern diagnostic criteria for autoimmune diseases, including scleroderma, autoimmune bullous dermatoses. Dermatovenerologists from the Kyrgyz Republic told about the clinical and epidemiological features of psoriasis.

Kazakh scientists and doctors made presentations of research on various aspects of skin diseases, including:
- new integrated approaches to molecular diagnostics in dermatology,
- long-term phototherapy of vitiligo and the risks of skin cancer,
- the burden of psoriasis beyond the visible symptoms,
- the role of maintenance therapy in atopic dermatitis.

The session of the Academy dedicated to the World Day of Psychodermatology became relevant. Traditionally, young scientists presented their reports, among them residents of the KNCDIZ.
