On air - a program about HIV

On September 4, the “Healthy Topic” program was broadcast on the IRBIS TV channel. The guest of the program was Yerzhan Zhunusbekov, an infectious disease specialist at the Pavlodar Center for the Prevention of HIV Infection.

In the program “How to protect yourself and not get infected with HIV,” presenter Elena Belogradova structured the conversation in such a way that viewers learned as much information as possible about HIV.  The doctor, giving examples of various situations, talked about how infection occurs. The emphasis was on safe behavior. Pavlodar residents also learned that the human immunodeficiency virus does not pose a threat and is not dangerous in everyday life; it is not transmitted by hugging, in the pool, by shaking hands, or by kissing.
