Seminars and trainings on infection control were held in all medical organizations of the Almaty region

On September 18 - 22, 2023, a seminar - training on infection control in medical organizations, organized by the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the Almaty Region (DSEBD) was held in 9 districts of the region and in the city of Konaev.

The seminar was opened by the Deputy Head of AOSEBD S. Kapsalamova, spoke about the goals of the seminar and wished success to the skippers of the training.

The head of the hospital infection control department of the AOSEBD I. Kunbasova provided the epidemiological situation on infections associated with the provision of medical services in the region, as well as the results of the work of the commission that carried out infection control in medical organizations. She also shared safe practices for injections and other infusion procedures.

The chief specialist of the SEBB of the Ili district, S. Arystan, introduced the procedure for assessing the quality of the use of personal protective equipment and sterilization of medical devices.

The head of the epidemiological surveillance department of the AOC AIDS D. Ibraimov spoke about the prevention of HIV infection and other blood-borne infections.

At the end of the training, participants completed tasks in a playful manner and topical issues were discussed.
