Director of the Kazakh Scientific Center for Dermatology and Infectious Diseases Baiserkin B.S. took part in the international conference “HIV-related research in Kazakhstan: news from Kazakh researchers,” which was held on September 20, 2023 in Almaty. He noted that an important event is the approval of the Roadmap for the implementation of measures to prevent HIV infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2026. In his speech, he emphasized that Kazakhstan is one of the leading countries in Central Asia, where all 12 WHO recommendations on the prevention of HIV infection have been implemented, and focused on the issues of epidemiological surveillance and prevention, laboratory diagnostics and the provision of treatment to patients with HIV infection.

The conference was also attended by Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the Daunt University of the State of New York, Director of the international research and educational program Jack DeHovitz, Professor of the Department of Medicine of Nazarbayev University Syed Ali, Rector of KazNMU M. Shoranov and representatives of international organizations.
