A seminar was held at the Almaty regional multidisciplinary clinic

On September 13, 2023, a seminar was organized for the medical staff of the Almaty regional multidisciplinary clinic on the topic “Etiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, clinical picture and measures to prevent HIV infection.”

Infectious disease doctor of the Almaty Regional AIDS Center S.Makhmutova opened the seminar and spoke about the clinic and treatment of HIV infection, patients' susceptibility to ART, conditions for providing medical care to people living with HIV infection.

Epidemiologists S.Nurlybaev and A.Akhmetbekov spoke about the latest epidemiological situation in the region and explained the importance of testing patients for HIV infection in accordance with the orders of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the algorithm for action in emergency situations and maintaining medical confidentiality. At the end of the seminar there was a question and answer session. 23 medical personnel were covered.
