Kokshetau rescuers were told about HIV

On July 18, 2023, the Akmola Regional Center for the Prevention of HIV Infection held an informational meeting with employees of the fire department No. 1 in Kokshetau.

By the way, the speaker of the event was a specialist of the preventive department of the center Nurlybek Konuspaev, who in the form of an open dialogue touched upon the issues of transmission routes and methods of HIV infection prevention, the epidemiological situation in the Akmola region, analyzed possible occupational risks.

The lecturer emphasized the inadmissibility of stigmatization and discrimination of people living with HIV, urging the participants of the meeting to show tolerance and not infringe on the rights of people with HIV-positive status.

For this purpose, maximum efforts were made at the meeting – accessible and reliable information, discussion of myths related to this disease and an open format of the meeting with questions and answers.
