Rahimhuja, 17 years old

- I learned about my HIV-positive status from my mother when I was 9 years old. Mom managed to tell me in such a way that I immediately accepted everything as it is without dramas and tragedies. It was hard when I told my friends. I thought for a long time how to do it, doubted whether it was necessary, whether they would understand me and, of course, whether they would continue to be friends. And yet I told my friends, although it was hard for me. All my friends reacted to my confession normally, no one turned away, no one stopped being friends with me.

Now I lead an exceptionally healthy lifestyle, because health largely depends on ourselves. It is important to treat health responsibly. I provide everyone who needs information about HIV, about transmission routes and protection measures.

I first learned about the Teenergizer movement when I went to a camp for teenagers living with HIV. Teenergizer is a youth movement spread in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. I became one of the first volunteers and interns in Kazakhstan Teenergizer. This is an interesting and useful experience. To this day, I receive important information, give advice and share my experience with friends and acquaintances.

I am very grateful to all the friends and mentors of Teenergizer!

Lisa, 16 years old

- I learned about the fact that I have HIV when I was a teenager from my mother. Then there were many questions, but there was no suffering due to the disease. Now I am taking antiretroviral therapy and living a busy life.

When I found out about Teenergizer, I thought for a long time whether it was worth joining this movement. I have always been not sociable and shy, so I was afraid that I would not "join" the company of the guys. But after getting to know the project better, I am very glad that I did not ignore it.

For me, Teenergizer is like a second family. I found new friends and acquaintances here, and began to take an active part in many projects and events. I have always been supported in my endeavors and taught not to be afraid to express my thoughts. The movement gave me a lot of knowledge and experience, I acquired new skills and now I share information with people, including about HIV.

Teenergizer helped me open up. I began to feel confident in society and not afraid to publicly express my thoughts. All trainings, events, internships have had a great impact on my life and my worldview. I am not standing still and continue to develop in this movement.

Thank you, Teenergizer!

Anna, 16 years old

- I have been living with HIV since birth. I learned about him at the age of 11 from a psychologist. At that time, I did not understand what HIV is, where it comes from, what to do with it, how to live on. There were a lot of questions, the answers to which I learned over time. What's it? What will happen to me? I thought about it often, but I only knew that I would live on.

I joined Teenergizer when I first went to a camp where there were teenagers with HIV. We all became friends. Now I visit all the camps with pleasure. In Teenergizer, they told me the necessary information, thanks to her, I accepted myself and now I no longer have the questions that I asked myself before.

Thanks to the Teenergizer movement, which was able to open the eyes and the door to another life. I was able to accept myself and live without worrying about a lot.
