A nurse with 30 years of experience

Despite the holiday – the International Day of the Nurse and the end of the shift, Patigul Kunakhunovna Memanova is in no hurry to go home: there is a seriously ill child in the department.

15-year-old Nurdaulet suffers from a serious disease – psoriasis. Now – the stage of exacerbation. The teenager could not walk because of joint pains and rashes on his heels. Doctors and nurses do not leave the little patient: systems, treatment, pills… Patigul Kunakhunovna lubricates her feet with a special ointment and encourages Nurdaulet as best she can.

- Hold on, dzhigit! Everything will be fine!- she says with a smile and motherly pats on the head.

I was convinced of the improvement of the patient's well–being and mood - now we can consider the shift over.

Patigul Kunakhunovna has been in medicine for almost 30 years, right after graduating from the Republican Medical School. For many years she worked as a surgical nurse in various clinics in Almaty. He remembers the instruction of teachers: if you want to fully learn the profession of a nurse, go to surgery. In the Kazakh Scientific Center of Dermatology and Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan - since 2019.

I thought surgery taught me everything. Patigul Kunakhunovna added a lot of knowledge and skills to the KNCDIZ. Skin diseases are very complex, especially in the chronic stage. It is necessary to be able to accurately calculate the dosage of medicines, properly drip the system ... The post nurse in the hospital has a lot of responsibility and a lot of responsibilities.

- The main thing in my work is to treat patients as family people. To be able to be compassionate, to be merciful, according to the principle – do good - forget. The greatest desire is for patients to recover faster and stay healthy as long as possible, - Patigul Kunakhunovna is convinced.
