Seminar for hemotransfusiologists

On March 2, 2023, the Atyrau Regional AIDS Control Center, pursuant to the order of the regional health Department No. 73 dated March 2023, held a regional seminar among doctors and nurses of hemotransfusiologists of regional and district hospitals on the topic "Prevention of HIV infection by hemotransfusion transmission".

In accordance with the program, the event was opened by the director of the center K. Nurmukhanov. At the seminar, the head of the epidemiological Department T.Shamenov reported on the epidemiological situation of HIV infection in Atyrau region and testing for HIV infection before hemotransfusion.

The head of the laboratory of the Blood Center K. Isaeva focused on the organization of immune hematological studies of the recipient's blood in preparation for transfusion in medical organizations, the transfusiologist Yessimbek D. focused on the issues of conducting an audit of transfusion care in medical organizations.

The participants received answers to the questions posed within the framework of the topic. The seminar was attended by 23 people.
