Day of gratitude

March 1, 2023

The Day of Gratitude in Kazakhstan comes on the first day of spring — March 1. It has been celebrated since 2016.

The Day of Gratitude has become a reflection of the historical events that Kazakhstan has experienced over the past century. The State policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan is aimed at ensuring that representatives of all ethnic groups coexist peacefully.

Why is Gratitude Day celebrated on March 1? In the independent Republic of Kazakhstan, on March 1, 1995, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was established as an advisory body under the President. The holiday, established in 2016, was timed to this date.

The holiday is intended to be an expression of friendship, mercy and harmony between the peoples of a multinational country. The Day of gratitude is the rendering of respect and honor to all residents of the country to each other.
