Results of the work of the AIDS service for 9 months

On November 4, at a conference call with the heads of the AIDS Centers of the regions and cities of Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, the results of the work for 9 months of 2022 were discussed at the KNCDIZ.

Opening the meeting, the director of the KNCDIZ A. Abishev noted that the service is developing dynamically, new modern international recommendations for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of HIV infection are being introduced.

It was noted that according to the results of 9 months of this year, there is a positive trend in achieving the target indicators. Thus, 87% of people living with HIV already know their status, 81% are receiving treatment and 85% have an undetectable viral load, with a forecast of 81%-74%-86% by the end of 2022.

The participants discussed the implementation of the decisions of the conference call held in August.

Also one of the questions of the meeting: about the campaign for the World AIDS Day on December 1. The campaign will be held from November 21 to December 1 under the motto "Time for Equality". As part of the campaign, various events and actions aimed at eradicating AIDS will be held in all regions of the country, press conferences and open days for HIV testing and counseling will be held.
