From August 29 to September 4, 2022, specialists from the laboratories of the territorial AIDS centers and KSCDIZ completed an in-depth training course on working on the ExiStation TM 16DX PCR platform at the plant of the manufacturer Bioneer Corporation, Republic of Korea.

The training course was organized by LLP "lifeMed Holding" under an agreement with UNDP.

During the training, the developers of diagnostic kits and plant specialists conducted practical and theoretical courses on PCR diagnostics for laboratory employees, including issues of quality control, data analysis and analysis of research results. Kazakh specialists visited the plant, where they got acquainted with the production process and new developments in the field of diagnostic equipment and tests for the diagnosis of infectious diseases.

During the visit, the Kazakh delegation was invited to Green Cross, a biotechnology company that works in many areas of healthcare, including pharmacology, prevention, laboratory diagnostics and genomic research. Our employees visited the Green Cross diagnostic laboratory, one of the leading clinical laboratories in South Korea, specializing in the diagnosis of infectious diseases. This laboratory is part of the Global Diagnostic Network.

The laboratory staff of the AIDS Centers exchanged experience with Korean colleagues, got acquainted with the equipment of the laboratory and the full automation system (TLA), from sample registration and movement to testing and receiving a report, which ensures the issuance of reliable test results 24 hours a day.

Recall that in 2021, 15 laboratories of the AIDS Centers of the Republic of Kazakhstan were equipped with automated PCR platforms for laboratory monitoring of the treatment of HIV-positive patients and the diagnosis of infectious diseases.
