On November 25, 2021, within the framework of the World AIDS Campaign at the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS in the city of Nur-Sultan, a training seminar for mass media journalists was held, as well as the results of the competition among journalists for the best publication in the print edition, in the electronic media and the best TV / radio material.

The aim of the activities is to create awareness among the population on HIV prevention, respect for the rights and non-discrimination of people living with HIV, but the media play an important role in this direction, it is from the correct presentation of information in the media that citizens form the correct idea of ​​HIV prevention.        According to the results of the competition, the republican newspaper "Egemen Kazakhstan" took prizes, senior journalist Anar Tuleukhangyzy, "Astana TV" TV show "Aitarym bar" social project team, radio "Shalkar" senior editor Meiramgul Isataigyzy, "Tengrinews.kz" journalist Mereke Amangeld.             The media competition was held with the technical support of the Central Asian Union of People Living with HIV and the Center for the Study of Global Health of Central Asia.
