Press conference dedicated to the World AIDS Campaign-2021

 On November 12, 2021, a press conference dedicated to the World AIDS Day was held in the regional AIDS center of the city of Karaganda. Specialists of the AIDS Center, representatives of non-governmental organizations and journalists took part.

Tulekbaeva, head of the prevention department informed journalists about the goals and objectives of the month, which is held under the slogan "Eliminate inequality. End AIDS. Stop pandemics."

She also spoke about joint preventive measures within the framework of the Campaign with the Department of Education, the Department for Youth Policy of the Akimat of the city of Karaganda.All events are aimed at increasing the knowledge of the population and measures to prevent HIV infection within the framework of World AIDS Day.

Mokrousova, Head of the Epidemiological Department, presented the epidemiological situation in the region, focused on the prevention of HIV infection among young people, ways of HIV transmission, precautions.

Olga Orlova, Head of the Department of Medical and Preventive Care and Medical examination, answered journalists' questions regarding vaccination against Covid-19 for people living with HIV.

The problems of the press conference caused a lot of questions from invited journalists. Having answered all the questions, the specialists of the center sincerely thanked the journalists for their invaluable help in informing the public widely.
