Online meeting at secondary school No. 1 and 4 in Zhezkazgan

On April 23, 2021, G. Bespaeva, a specialist of the department of the Karaganda Regional Center for AIDS Prevention and Control in Zhezkazgan, held an online meeting among students on the topic: "Prevention of HIV infection among young people".

The students were provided with information on the incidence of HIV infection in the region, on the ways of infection and prevention measures.

The participants discussed the prevention of sexual HIV infection and mother-to-child transmission of HIV.

Issues related to stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV were also discussed.

Students ctively participated in the online meeting and asked numerous questions related to stigma and discrimination.
