Seminar in the regional center of mental health of Atyrau

On the twenty-first of April, 2021, epidemiologists of the regional Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS in Atyrau, E. Ergalieva and Zh.Tulemisova conducted a seminar on HIV prevention for medical workers of the regional mental health center.

The participants were familiarized with the epidemiological situation of HIV infection in the Atyrau region, with the order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 27, 2020 No. 211 "On Approval of the rules for mandatory confidential medical examination for the presence of HIV infection", including examinations among key population groups - PWID.

During the seminar, explanatory work was carried out on actions to prevent HIV infection in emergency situations during medical manipulations, on measures for post - contact prevention.
