On June 24, military personnel of military unit 7552 of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in an HIV prevention training and learned their HIV status.

The training was organized by specialists from the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS in Almaty. The event was aimed at strengthening the health of military personnel and raising their awareness of the prevention of socially significant diseases.

During the meeting, the participants were told about the ways of HIV transmission, modern methods of prevention, as well as the importance of a responsible attitude to their health. Special attention was paid to the issues of timely testing and early detection of infection.

The specialists answered the military personnel's questions in detail, explained common myths about HIV and emphasized that reliable information is an important tool for preventing the disease and reducing discrimination against people living with HIV.

After completing the information part, everyone could take a voluntary and confidential rapid test. The procedure took only a few minutes, and the results were reported to each participant individually.

"I passed the HIV test because I consider it very important for a serviceman of the Republic of Kazakhstan to take care of his health and the health of his loved ones," Eldos K., a participant in the event, shared his opinion.
