A round table dedicated to discussing the results of the analysis of proposals received from stakeholders in the framework of the preparation of the new application of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Global Fund was held on June 5 at the UNDP (Almaty).

Members of the CCM working group, representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, CNDDIZ, NGOs and civil society, international organizations, experts, representatives of key population groups and beneficiaries gathered to discuss the results of the analysis of proposals, as well as develop recommendations.
A lot of work preceded the preparation of the round table. Consultations were held with the staff of HIV Prevention Centers, meetings with international consultants, discussions with representatives of NGOs, civil society and key population groups. The Working Group analyzed the proposals received and organized a broad dialogue with all interested parties.
The participants of the round table noted that a balanced prioritization is of particular importance when preparing an application. It is necessary to ensure the preservation of the most effective interventions, continuity of services for key populations and people living with HIV, as well as strengthen mechanisms for intersectoral cooperation.
All proposals were considered not only from the perspective of current needs, but also from the point of view of their contribution to the sustainability of the national program after the completion of grant support. Our common goal is to form realistic and informed solutions that will preserve the results achieved and ensure Kazakhstan's further progress towards ending the HIV epidemic as a threat to public health by 2030.
It is planned that on July 10 the application will be submitted to the CCM for approval.
