On February 13, the KRCDIZ held an Open Day as part of World Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Day.
The event aimed to raise public awareness about the prevention, diagnosis, and timely treatment of STIs. The day was open to everyone, from students to seniors interested in maintaining their health.
Dermatovenereologists provided detailed information about the most common infections, their transmission routes, and protective measures. Particular attention was paid to confidentiality and the importance of regular screening.
Free consultations and PCR testing were available for visitors. Specialists held individual discussions, answered questions, and dispelled common myths related to sexual health. Each participant received recommendations on preventing and maintaining reproductive health.
The event also included an interactive seminar for KRCDIZ residents. Participants learned about modern STI treatment methods and global trends. S. Ospanova, Head of the Postgraduate Education Department at the KSCDIZ, discussed patient care, and dermatovenerologist E. Kurkumbaev conducted a master class on collecting specimens for STI diagnostics.
The center plans to continue holding similar meetings to make medical care more accessible and understandable for everyone.
