Independence Day of Kazakhstan is the main national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is celebrated annually on December 16.

The date for celebrating Independence Day of Kazakhstan was not chosen by chance. On December 16, 1991, the Supreme Council of Kazakhstan adopted the Law on Independence and State Sovereignty of the Republic.

Independence is the highest value, and we are all obliged to cherish and protect it as the apple of our eye.

Today, large-scale political and economic reforms are being implemented in the country, and we have entered a new stage of national modernization. The success of these initiatives depends on each and every one of us.

For every citizen of independent Kazakhstan, Independence Day embodies the brightest dreams of freedom and prosperity, friendship and harmony, and the progressive development of all spheres of Kazakhstani society.

We wish all citizens of Kazakhstan good health, stability, prosperity, good fortune, family well-being, and successful work for the benefit of our people and our sovereign state!
