An open Day among medical college students was organized at the Kyzylorda Regional Youth Health Center with the participation of HIV specialists. The event was held as part of an information campaign dedicated to World AIDS Day.
The participants were addressed by doctors from the HIV Prevention Center and specialists from the Youth Health Center. The speakers spoke about modern methods of HIV prevention, diagnosis and treatment, and also stressed the importance of early detection of infection.
Special attention was paid to the issues of safe behavior, health protection and prevention of the spread of the virus. Future doctors were reminded of the important role of medical professionals in educating the public and reducing the level of stigmatization of people living with HIV.
During the meeting, students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions and shared their thoughts, as well as information about modern rapid tests for early detection of HIV infection, capillary and salivation tests were conducted among students, information and educational materials were distributed.
