Dialogue with Youth as Part of World AIDS Day

As part of the information campaign dedicated to World AIDS Day, an educational and awareness-raising meeting was held in cooperation with the Youth Center “Jastar Rukhy” under the Amanat party. The event aimed to enhance young people’s knowledge about HIV, methods of prevention, and to promote a responsible attitude toward personal health.

The event was opened by M. Matembayeva, Head of the Department for Prevention and Public Relations, who emphasized the importance of timely informing young people about modern protection methods and the need for regular testing. Specialists from the center presented up-to-date information on HIV transmission, opportunities for early diagnosis, and current effective prevention measures.

M. Matembayeva also provided detailed information about the activities of the Zhetysu Region Health Department and the Regional Center for HIV Prevention, its areas of work, and the services offered within the framework of HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention. She stressed the importance of timely awareness, counseling, and preventive measures aimed at increasing youth knowledge and fostering a responsible attitude toward personal health.

At the end of her speech, she invited all participants to visit the center and undergo free, confidential testing. She also noted that work on HIV prevention will continue, and educational programs for various population groups will be further implemented.
