Concert Program for World AIDS Day in a Women's Colony

At Women's Colony No. 10, located in the village of Zhaugaushty in the Almaty region, a concert program was held dedicated to World AIDS Day. The event aimed to raise awareness among incarcerated women about HIV and sexually transmitted infections, strengthen knowledge on prevention, and promote a tolerant attitude toward people living with HIV.

During the program, the host welcomed the participants and introduced the theme of the day, emphasizing the importance of preventive work and respectful treatment of people affected by HIV. Next, invited guests were introduced, including the senior physician of the institution’s medical service, B. Rakhimberdiev, Acting Deputy Head of the Institution for Educational Work, Major of Justice A. Seitov, and epidemiologist of the Almaty Regional AIDS Center, A. Ibraimova.

The informational and musical segment included the screening of videos about HIV, artistic performances by pre-trial detainees, and musical numbers. The program was conducted in an atmosphere of open dialogue and educational focus, allowing participants to expand their knowledge and receive answers to pressing questions.

At the conclusion of the event, the host summarized the outcomes, after which representatives of the AIDS Center expressed their gratitude to the participants and presented certificates and commemorative gifts to the most active attendees.
