At the concluding event of the Days of Kazakhstani Medicine — the forum “Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan: Cooperation for Public Health Improvement”, held in Tashkent on 17 October, the Kazakh National Centre for Public Health and Disease Control (KNC PHDC), represented by Acting Director Dr. U. Sh. Medeubekov, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Centre of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, represented by its Director Dr. U. Yu. Sabirov.

The parties agreed to strengthen collaboration in dermatovenereology and cosmetology, and to enhance the quality of research and educational activities. Future plans include participation in joint conferences, scientific projects, and specialized exhibitions.

Special attention was given to the capacity building of medical professionals, as well as exchange of experience in diagnosing and treating skin diseases. Joint seminars, training sessions, and internships are planned to be held both in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

During the Days of Kazakhstani Medicine in Uzbekistan, KNC PHDC specialists also signed two additional Memoranda of Cooperation in Nukus — one with the Karakalpak Territorial Branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Centre of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology, and another with the Medical Institute of Karakalpakstan.

Such visits lay a solid foundation for future strategic partnerships between medical institutions of the two countries. In the context of today’s global health challenges, cooperation based on knowledge exchange and innovative approaches is becoming increasingly important for strengthening public health systems.
