From October 9 to 20 of this year, specialists of the center for prevention and control of AIDS of the Mangystau region: head of the Department.the dispensary Department of A. Zhiengalieva, G. Suyebayeva, O. Talasbayeva and assistant epidemiologist B. Tlegenova together with specialists in obstetric care of the OPC and AGPC, according to the new clinical Protocol No. 97 of 11.06.2020, held a workshop and training seminar "Management of HIV-infected pregnant women".

Participants discussed the algorithm for diagnosing HIV infection in children born to women with HIV aged 0 to 18 months, as well as the rules for taking, drying, storing and transporting samples of a dry drop of capillary blood to detect HIV antiviral DNA.

At the same time, decisions have been adopted: responsible medical workers for maternity care will promptly take the child's blood, according to the algorithm and instructions, under the supervision of the chief nurse. The speakers brought to the attention of the audience questions related to the clinical Protocol No. 97 of 11.06.2020.
