Seminar on HIV infection for Shortady district of Akmola region medical workers

On October 29, 2020, specialists of Akmola regional center for the prevention and control of AIDS held a seminar for doctors and medical workers of Shortandy district on organizing HIV testing coverage among population.

At the seminar, medical workers were given explanation on the new regulatory legal acts related to prevention, early detection and treatment of HIV infection.

As a result of the event, blood draw for HIV was organized among patients with chronic diseases; with symptoms that do not respond to therapy for a long time; persons from among vulnerable groups of the population.

In addition, the center specialists conducted a seminar for health workers of the obstetric unit, which focused on the issues of prevention of HIV infection in newborn children.
