Training seminar for volunteer students of the city of Uralsk

On November 11, 2024, volunteer students of the West Kazakhstan Higher Medical College were trained at the inpatient trust point of the Ural Regional Center for HIV Prevention.

The purpose of the seminar is to train volunteers who will participate in the activities of the Center to raise HIV awareness and promote a healthy lifestyle among the youth of the region, including representatives of key population groups. 

An important aspect of the seminar was the presentation by A. Karshigina, a nurse at the inpatient trust point of the regional HIV prevention center.

 - Colleagues, it is necessary to remember the importance of the correct approach to talking with patients, taking into account the psycho-emotional component and providing scientifically sound recommendations for the prevention and early detection of HIV infection, - said A. Karshigina.

A nurse at the inpatient HIV Center of trust conducted training for volunteer students on the methodology of rapid HIV testing.

The teacher of the HIV Center of the West Kazakhstan Region, G. Umbetova, spoke about the main directions in information, educational and preventive work among the population of the region on HIV.

The training of volunteers was conducted on the eve of World AIDS Day, which this year will be held from November 20 to December 01, 2024 under the motto "Choose the right path – the path of human rights".
