A seminar was held among vulnerable groups of the population

On November 25, 2022, on the occasion of World AIDS Day, under the slogan "Time of Equality", specialists of the Almaty Regional AIDS Center, together with social workers of the NGO "Doverie Plus" and specialists of the Regional Mental Health Center, organized a seminar among vulnerable groups of the population.

The event, held at the Regional Mental Health Center located in Talgar, was attended by patients of this center - injecting drug users.

The seminar was opened with an introductory speech by Irina Stepanova, Deputy Director of the Center for Medical Work.

The specialist of the Almaty Regional AIDS Center Togzhan Myrzagulova spoke about the goal of the World Day:

- If we eliminate the inequalities that fuel the spread of HIV, we can end AIDS. To ensure the safety of every person, to protect the health of everyone, we must all strive for equality,” she said, revealing the meaning of this year’s slogan.

Aizhan Abuseitova and Salovat Kabzhelelov, social workers of the Trust Plus organization, acted out quiz questions and played an interesting game to clarify the information provided on HIV prevention.

Active participants were rewarded with gifts such as notebooks, cups and bottles.

2 posters, 200 IOM were handed out at the event.

Nurses of trust points in Talgar and Konaev Aubakirova G. and Satylganova A. conducted express testing, there were 25 people in total.
