About HIV prevention for adolescents

On November 22, the doctors of the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS in Almaty held a quest game for teenagers of the LA 155/6 colony "You don't need to be afraid - you need to know!"

The knowledge about what HIV and AIDS are, what methods of protection exist, how HIV is transmitted and how it is not transmitted, teenagers received through a popular tool - a game. The quest game consisted of five stations :

-What do you know about HIV,

-Symbol of the fight against AIDS,

-HIV and AIDS: suggestions,

-Risk of infection,

-Blitz tournament.

Each station is new knowledge and error analysis. At the finish, all participants together with the doctors discussed the stages of the quest and controversial points. The guys got answers to all the questions. Teenagers have become convinced that there is no need to be afraid of HIV if you have the necessary knowledge that they have received today.

At the end of the game, the teenagers were awarded prizes. The event is organized within the framework of the World Campaign #Time for Equality, dedicated to World AIDS Day.
