Large-scale action among the population

On November 21, 2022, in honor of the World AIDS Day, the AIDS Center held a large-scale action among the population in the entertainment center of Atyrau LLP.

Head of the Prevention Department of the Regional AIDS Center A. Abylgazieva noted that this year the World Health Organization welcomes HIV under the motto "Time for equality".

The purpose of the campaign is to prevent HIV infection, improve the quality of testing, treatment and accessibility of services, respect for everyone to combat stigmatization and discrimination of people living with HIV, as well as vulnerable groups of the population.

During the event, students organized a concert program for the audience. Experts also checked the blood sugar level of the population and measured blood pressure. The number of people who voluntarily passed rapid HIV tests is 45. Educational information manuals were distributed to all 80 participant.
