She exudes kindness

June 27, 2022

I want to express my gratitude to Kalibekova Bakhytkul Tuimebaevna.

She is the nurse in "whose hands" I managed to visit for a long time in the city AIDS center of Almaty.

While at the center, I noticed that among the patients there is a fashion to say "we are being tortured", however, in my case it's the opposite.

I first came to the center in 2011. After learning about the positive status, he was very upset, categorically disagreed with the diagnosis.

The only thing I regretted was that because of my prejudices I could not not trust the doctor (it was suggested to start ART), I was afraid, because of this I added problems to myself and doctors (and I could have avoided them).

With the arrival of Bakhytkul Tuimebaevna, my worldview changed. I started taking ARV therapy and undergoing medical examination in a timely manner.

The nurse explained everything to me in an accessible way about the complications and the outcome of the disease without treatment.

Why did I believe it was Bakhytkul Tuimebaevna? Because she convinced very sincerely, and in general, kindness and warmth emanate from her. And I want to note that she has been providing me with all the necessary medical services at home for 6 years so far. And not a single reproach.

Therefore, dear patients, if you are reading this, then I urge you all to two things:

  1. Trust medical professionals. At least to the doctors, where you go according to your diagnosis. I have experienced everything "on my own skin" and I have no doubts about their skill.
  2. Do not allow yourself to be rude and unethical about a medical professional.

My story is one of hundreds, perhaps thousands, so it is important to understand that behind each of them there is a huge amount of patience, work and professional experience.
